Looking for good small Lithium Inverter

OP wants to power a 50" tv and laptop.

You think it is a k@k battery in general?
No, I didn't say that, and is a good deal. Just that you will only be able to use 500W of the inverter power.

OP has 2 choices:
1. Stick with 24V mecer and replace LA with LFP (pro: charges quicker than 12V, con: need 2 batteries + balancer)
2. Sell mecer, and get one of the units you posted above, either the nava 12V/24V or the mecer 24V.

Regardless, R10k is going to be difficult, except for that DIY deal, but then there maybe extra installation costs.

Yea i would stick with the current inverter try and scrape together a few k more to buy 2x 100ah or a single 25.6v 100Ah
lifepo4 the 50Ah batteries are overpriced imo ie sure if you paid closer to half of a 100Ah it would be fine

The mecer will recharge on 10A in 4hrs 1kwh which should be fine for tv+laptop and worst case scenario you can use an additional fan as many have done or use an additional external charger, or even a solar charge controller with a panel

Can also
Build a diy battery 24v 50Ah for approx R6500 if budget stretching is a problem

Crappy daly bms (probably same quality as built in bms's) for 1k

8cells *R659 from
lithium-cells.co.za

Plus would need a buck converter for top balancing

If you have no idea about top balancing or want to expand the battery later for bigger inverter later pay 1.3k more for the jk-bms That can handle 24v or 48v setups

(it has active balancing and will be able to balance the cells for you) will take a long while but can at least use the device will this is happening

So for 7.6k you have a 50Ah 24v

And to make it a 100ah later would cost R5.3 for the 1.28kwh of extra cells

Meaning eventually you end at 12.9k for 2.56kwh

The only problem with these adding cells later is, if you can't get the same shape/ah capacity cells

Quite a leap for a guy that didn't know he can replace his lead acids with LFP to building his own battery and top balancing.

Yea too true , but that is exactly the path i took

All i knew back then is lead acid is crap and gets killed quick lithium will last longer

So i thought cells and a bms is what i need

Thinking it has balancing function so over time i will have a balanced pack
, It won't be a problem as all i wanted was a tv for 2 hours so i didn't care how long it takes to balance it

Oh boy looking back the ignorance
