Yes, but if you're not shaped streaming was great, gaming was awesome, etc.
Just saying. They're overpriced, yes. Their customer services is horrible. Their business ethics are in the toilet. But their connectivity is really good.

All ISPs charge you in advance. How much though depends when you start. So don't see how that's bad? Unless you know an ISP that charges in arrears. Also shaping isn't really an issue if you get the right package.

If you want to download, don't get standard.

This was 5 years ago, there was no "standard", only premium. I joined on the 1st, they charged me for that month and the next, now STFU!

Can anybody with experience on MWEB Premium share some insight into what the shaping is like before reaching threshold on Usenet? I have been using the trial account and it seems to run at max speed at all times of the day. Is that normal behavior or perhaps a trial account that performs better than paid accounts?

I am currently trialing the MWEB Premium 4MB as that is the highest speed they offer with their trial accounts. Haven't had much of a chance to use it yet but so far it looks pretty decent. Latency in Diablo 3 is around 210ms and when I switch to my AH Business it sits at around 230ms so not game changing but it is better.

I am also still keen on the Web Africa Business account as I have always had great service from them. I use a capped account from them as my backup and its always been very fast and stable. I think I need to come to terms with the idea of scheduling my large downloads for after hours if I want to go with Web Africa though.
