Looking for new bank

I can never understand this when you can withdraw money at pnp/checkers/ shoprite
Good luck with this. Literally every single time I have tried to draw at checkers, they tell me I can't because they don't have cash available.

I am currently with RMB Private Bank, and am looking to change banks. Why....

1. Their Internet banking platform will not allow me to make certian payments. Get an error message that I have exceeded my daily limit, when I have not. Despite numerous requests, they have failed to fix this. I want to bank via both Internet banking and an app
2. If my savings balance goes below R100k, I don't earn interest.

Would be interested to hear your experiences with your bank.
I have prety much used all banks.

Standard bank is joke, instant eft are not instant etc, inter account trasnfer are not instant? Monthly eft limit?

Capitec, pretty much always offline when you need them. Atm's never work, luckily never need to use them.
Need to take selfies to make efts lol?

Absa been pretty good to me actually recently with my bond and bussiness account. Instant eft super pricey still, but they dont seem always charge me for them on my bussiness account.

Nedbank, still charge's R50 instant eft? Instant eft is not actually instant?, just feels a bit outdated. But they are trying to catch up.

My main account is still with RMB, im there for the ebucks. Service is pretty shobby at best, but can do pretty much anything on the app. I have multiple times request another private banker, still nothing. The one I have is always in training or busy lol

Take selfies when doing a eft? Really? I have never had to do that. Is it when you load a new beneficiary? Only time I had to do a selfie with the app was when I wanted to activate the app on my new phone.

Also I can't remember the last time Capitec was offline when I needed the app or make a payment.

Yeah any amount above 5k to new beneficiary you need take a selfie, so I client running around like crazy trying to get it to work

Has been down few times last 2 months , mostly after hours if I remember correctly.

I have Std bank private banking. No issues. Nowadays, if I need something, I would pop an email to the two people assigned to me.

I have accounts with a few of them.

FNB
Standard Bank
Capitec
Absa
Tyme

Think that's it.
Fsck knows why.

But I can never see myself banking with only one bank.

Must be using the app. The internet banking website has never asked me for that for similar event, as I only use internet banking.

Capitec is the most offline bank past 24 months. Check on X.

Absa. Tier 5. 30% off petrol and groceries. Everything else is secondary :)

que?!? I do it daily with Capitec, have never taken a selfie to do it ... unless you mean to activate the mobile app once off, which hooks into the government database and checks you are who you say you are?

in that case Standard Bank does the same

Add new beneficiary try make payment 5k to 10k, if don't regularly make payments of those amounts it will ask you take a selfie

that can only be a new thing, I made EFT payments to a brand new beneficiary as recently as May for over 10k and there was no selfie involved

it's brilliant, keep the masses at the ATM while the smart Capitec customers get cashback at the till
Thus causing a queue at the till too. Where Capitec customers go, queues follow. Please rather go to an ATM instead of inconveniencing people who just want to buy their groceries...

I mean, you don't go to a till just to draw cash, you just gooi it in there with a "and R100 cashback please" when you pay for groceries ... adds a few seconds only to the whole checkout situation
