After leaving my phone in germany a few days ago, I finally got insurance to pay me out. They have given me R4000 cash so I need to get a decent phone. Basically I want a Nokia. I'm not interested in paying in any more as I have an upgrade scheduled for next year august.

I was looking at justcat and they have imported phones that go for a lot cheaper than the locally distributed phones. If I ordered one would it be fully operational here?

Please advise

Thanks guys

So its a toss up between the N96 , E71, E75, N85, N86. Iv been trying to do a bit of research but not too sure if the information is outdated now. Or if a lot of the problems have been sorted out?

Get a cheaper phone and keep some of the cash... If you are up for an upgrade so soon why bother getting a phone that will just be useless then...

Im actually getting a N79 with my new contract, coming from a Tytn2 I felt like going back to just a normal phone, no touch screen and with my next upgrade when Android is king of the world getting a phone running it...

Well cause my work demands a good phone. I cant be walking around with a cheaper phone. Besides Ill just sell it when I'm done with it.

Thanks tho.

Is the N96 better than that phone. I'm putting my order through today. I'm gonna give my sister the phone afterwards, so i dont mind spending the full cash as well as buying new.

N96 is highly rated but not without it's issues. I've had an N85 which is similiar in many regards. I find the E55 with it's 600Hz processor more than capable of handling it's plethora of features, something the bloated N85 battled to do.
