I think your misunderstanding is that we don't know these things, you're painting everyone with the same brush.
Some of us know the risks, and mitigate them as best we can under the circumstances, but accept the remaining risk.

Why not? If you're renting arrange with your landlord to get it done properly. If you own the place then make a plan. This is the same as driving around with no insurance. You think you're saving until there's an accident. Your backfeeding 'solution' is literally exposing you to massive risk if there's ever an insurance claim.
