hi guys

i have an external HDD seagate 1TB must have some sort of a file consistency problem because if i plug it in to a normal machine XP,Vista,7,8,10 it freezes the whole machine and sometimes asks me if i want to format now

When i plug in to my TV i can see all my files and movies on there ??

so was thinking is there not a software out there that can sort this issue out for me ?

Thanks again

:confused::confused:

You can try recover it, i have software u can use. But u will need another 1TB drive to recover it to (if its recoverable that is)

if it plugs into a tv and you can see the files, might just mean the TV formatted your drive to the correct format for it, but not your PC,

cant you copy the things from the TV? is that not possible with another memory stick?

Try using a Linux OS to read the drive. You can download a copy of Ubuntu which you can then boot without having to install it on your machine. If you can read the drive, you can copy its contents.
