I am currenly using Polka as my ISP, I am looking for the deal that gives the 30gb local bandwidth plus 2gb international, I think the ISP that offers this is Telkom or Mweb? Please let me know about this if you know about it. What is the price for this per month?

And what are the complications with changing ISP's?
If my email address is ####@polka.co.za, does this mean I will lose my email address when I change ISP's?

Yes you would loose your email address, so go get yourself a Gmail address, free and independant of any ISP at www.gmail.com if you have your own domain Google will even host your email for you on their applications system, at www.google.com/a free if you are small under 50 mailboxes I think.

Mweb and Telkom are the only ones offering free local that I'm aware of. Telkom's is slightly cheaper if I remember correct 2 gig blended with 20 gig local for R149 per month.

ive been doing some research, does the 20gig local only kick in once the international bandwidth is finished? Or do they split the two during the month?

The local only kicks in once the international is finished. Then you need to make sure you don't go over the 20Gb local or risk paying extra for each gig.

Maybe you're looking for Skyway.

They offer 2/30 for R139

Skyway.co.za

Openweb offer 2gig cap 'unshaped'. "2GB Semi Unshaped ADSL access. Unshaped access after hours and on weekends!"
does 'unshaped' mean that they don't count the bandwidth you use 'after hours' and on weekends? would someone please elaborate on this? Thanks for the help so far everyone.

And is it possible to only get adsl and not a line rental? If someone in my house was using polka, would i be able to use lets say 'Openweb' as well separately?
