Looking for Trixbox Consultant (Jhb)

I want to get a Trixbox PBX installed for our small office (2 ISDN BR, 16 extensions) but can't find anyone in the Johannesburg area who does this. Those I have found through Google invariably end up selling me some other Asterisk variation like PBX In A Flash or Elastix.

I like the GUI, ease of configuration and HUD that comes with Trixbox. What is wrong with Trixbox that no-one wants to install it ??

Trixbox parent company alienated the open source developers, by trying to turn their product into a comercial base, with a bunch of call back to home routines etc etc Most of those developers moved onto Elastix and other Asterisk based systems.

I would recommend that you go with Elastix it does everything that Trixbox does plus more.

Also, Trixbox 2.8 tends to be buggy and problematic. I still recommend sticking with 2.6 and being extremely cautious about updates (which can break it).
