MacBook Pro is a fantastic piece of tech, Mac Pro on the other had Apple has got ridiculous with the pricing.

You can get far better for less.

When the Pro came out the price wasn't actually that outrageous, it was actually not badly priced for what you got. Perhaps now the components have come down enough to make it cheaper to buy the separate components.

One is a desktop, the other is mobile... Don't think you need to consider more than that.

If that's the only deciding factor than I can get a mini. A pro is a bit out of my budget.

I have 2 15" and a 13" and these machines are lovely. I'll wait till next year before I look at another 15"

There's also the iMac which sits between those price points... The Mini is a good machine 'tho, can't imagine you'll ever regret the purchase.

On a side, yet related note... Anyone know if the new keyboard, mouse and trackpad have landed in SA yet?
