Hi,

Looking to buy a new screen at the end of this month. Anyone have some suggestions on good screens.
Looking to get a 27" LED one no bigger no smaller, 4K-5K price range.

That's only 1080p.

For 4k he should be able to get 2560*1440 and IPS to boot.
 
Aren't there Dell monitors at 2560*1440 available for around 4k?

Edit: Right I found the one I was thinking about R6.3k :whistle:

Yea IPS is going a bit over board, 1080p is more than enough, 1600x900 has been my res for years now. 3D not bothered with it as I cannot see it. Just want a nice response time, and a fluid flow, has to look good too.

R4.1k incl ... not bad. But you can take the risk & import an IPS for about the same price....
 
Yea it was R3586, I inquired if they had stock and price went up. Freakin' pissed!
Don't wanna import, too much to go wrong and my luck sucks.

Just looking for a few model names so I can compare them pros, cons, watch review videos of them all and then decide before the end of this month.
 
Go for the Samsung at Rectron then About R3800 with vat. Never ever had any issues with any of my Samsung monitors, I have had at least 6. (Unfortunately u need a connection to buy there or be a dealer ....) Esquire sells Samsungs, but not sure about that model, but MyBB members can buy from Esquire if you register with them with your MyBB username.

my 27" imported IPS 2560*1440 in the middle ... been 100% for me so far. (yes .. i know .. my wiring :() I actually just sold the 23" LG on the right (3D)... never used it, 3D gaming not so fun.

What is the model number of that Samsung at Rectron?
I can by at Esquire they only sell LG & Phillips.

Esquire LG? my mistake then. LG .. Samsung ... each as good... but 14ms response :( noooo. For gaming, minimum 5ms
 
I did look at that exact Samsung model, a lot of reviews complaining about too much ghosting from it.

R3200 excl from Huge.
 
How do you expect Cameronkk to buy from Rectron, I thought you had to have a registered business to buy from a supplier.

All this talk of monitors... I think I'll get the Samsung S27A950DS when I have time. Call it an impulse buy. lol
Not so much for 3D gaming, but for the 120hz

Seen them @ TerribleCorruption ... Brother inlaw has 2. He loves them. For me, has to have vesa wall mount capability. And I'm done with 1920*1080 ;)
