Loot is experiencing an outage

South African online retailer Loot.co.za is experiencing a prolonged outage, with shoppers reporting on Tuesday that its website has been unavailable since earlier in the afternoon.

Loot has not acknowledged the downtime on its social media pages, and last posted a product promotion at around 15:00.

0 complaints on X.

Wondering if this is an "outage" or a financial issue. Standard Bank closed his Iqballs accounts again?

Actually longer than that, I tried on Sunday just to see my old order history and it was bombing out than already and it's still down

So inbound spam will drop by around 15%....

This is good news

Loot has had a Raru feel for a while, it won't be long for this world.
It has indeed, last used it about 4 years ago to get some DVDs that weren't available. Used to use Raru for that, but my last order they almost took the money and ran until I kept insisting on a refund, which turned out I got just before their fook up.

I used to like loot... And then I realised it was owned by Iqbal Surve of state capture fame. Never shopped there again. (P. S. Not sure why he isn't in jail).
Yes, came here to say this. Sad really but, when a good business get ruined by BEE. Sadly, that is the ultimate outcome....

This is a regular occurrence on Loot. Or during the night when it takes ages for something to load or to login. They don't seem to scale properly and under allocate resources.
