Loot Systems

I just like the need greed roll.

If it's for off spec you roll greed if it's for Main Spec you need.

If there is no need rolls, it goes to the higest greed roll. It's does get tricky when people keep changing and you need to gear new people and also have some old people needing the same gear. That is why small close guilds work best.

Standard DKP with a twist: Sorry points. Interesting concept that defines fairness in raiding. You start with 1 sorry point when joining the guild, every raid you want to attend you get a random value between 0 and 1. Say I get a 0.08 value and the other dps gets 0.07, I win and attend the raid while the other gets +2 sorry points, so that next time. say he gets a value of 0.03 - it becomes 2.03 and he secures his spot. However, if you sign and don't pitch you get -2 SP, thus have to sign be online for the duration for 2 raids to get back to 0. its a very fair system :) DKP works standard, kill boss/spend more than X hours in the raid get dkp. Minimum bid = 15 dkp incrementing by 5 per bid, average raid nets you 10.

Whoo...I like this idea :)

Think i'm gonna try and implement this :)
Careful as to who you use on your council

I have 5 players on ours with a broad class understanding, myself, as master looter, and the raid leader are privvy to the discussions, but we are not on the council as such, we merely relay any descision when needed

We are a very close guild so everybody is aware (just about) of who needs to upgrade what, but we also use a very similar system to d3th_n1gG4. I just love Healing/Spell Mail gear, with no other Shammies in the raid, I almost always end up with these pieces for my offspec, unless some Pally desperatly needs an upgrade.

If you can use it, then you roll, if the current gear levels of the people rolling is very similar, then the highest roll will get it after the council discussed it and asked the raid if they agree with the call.

We use master looter with loot council. Most of our raids have 1 or 2 max of each armour class so it goes pretty easy. Tanks and healers get preference though.

In our raid rules it states that if you win a roll but the gear gets given to somebody else no emoness are allowed.

I believe dkp is by far the most fair as with council decisions can be biased towards older member (who might raid less) who are friends of the council.

We use:

For attending a raid you will get the following DKP values:

20 DKP: Signed up on raid date and attended the whole raid.
10 DKP: Did not sign up, but attended the whole raid.
10 DKP: Signed up and attended half the raid.
5 DKP: Did not sign up, but attended at least half of the raid.
5 DKP: To late for raid-invite, no matter if you signed or not.
0 DKP: All other cases.
-10 DKP: Signed up but never attended the raid.

Min bid of 40 and increments of 5.

LOL You called your lock Madiba

So careless raid leaders can get away with favoritism, yet no-one [-]can[/-] is allowed to complain? On top tanks/healers get prio...

Correct me if i'm wrong, but sounds like your DPS gets shafted

I suggest you look at EPGP. It's the best dkp type system I've ever seen. And relatively automated.
