The only presidents in Africa's history who served with dignity is Mandela and FW de Klerk.

Other "presidents" only see it as being the leader of the sandbox "my sand castle is bigger than your sand castle".

Pathetic are people who tell others how great they are when nobody else thinks so.

Please shut it if you don't know wth you are talking about, case in point would be Nkrumah from Ghana and Seretse Khama from Botswana, both great leaders.

You werent compairing them to the likes of Blair or Clinton - you came out and made a half arsed moronic statement that only 2 African leaders were decent - this is not the case - so either a) go learn some history then come back or b) shut the truck up if you don't know what you are talking about. c) Please go do some reading on Seretse Khama and Botswana.

I can understand the sentiments from people on both sides of the fence. Yes we have bad black leaders in Africa, wasting money while people starve. It is however not only an African thing. It happens all over the world, some recent examples in S/America/Phillipines/Russia/Europe/Asia/Middle East etc. It just looks worse in Africa due to the poverty on the continent. It is not a black thing, all races around the world are guilty. As Africans, obviously we need to be more aware of and protest against what happens on our continent. The old white national party government were past masters of wasting money. I can give you some good examples if you want!

hahahahahahahaha. Why do the presidents of African countries feel the need to tell the whole world they are not the worst leaders in the world - and in the same breath their stench of incompetence overwhelms.

Just remember Robert Mugabe was also hailed as a hero, he got medals from all over (not even self bestowed ones, real one ), he also got honorary Ph.Ds from across the world.

I am not saying Seretse is going to turn out the same way I am merely pointing out that if he is "awarding" himself medals he might be on a slippery slope.

Everyone evaluates other people to come to a conclusion, whether they are peers to compete with or inferior/beaten. There are leaders and followers. People group others based on past experience and have reasonable expectations from them. That is my opinion concerning racism, where I believe it comes from.
