Losing Signal Periodically

this is with a new product the Rainone 5g package.

bundled router keeps losing signal but other sim cards keep the signal.

besides the fact there's only 1 tower here and no news if 5g will be coming anytime soon

also about 1.2km away from the tower can see it from my house

Have tested this in multiple areas inside my home to see if its not perhaps signal related why its dropping but it drops regardless of what area and signal quality

I am not familiar with the software. My guess is that you can only use 5G? If that is the case I would recommend moving it around till you get a better signal. I get the best signal 2m from the ground. As stupid as this sounds it is the only thing that worked for me while I was using Rain. But honestly I couldn't maintain a stable signal. It is why I canceled with them.

I suspect a faulty router. I had the same problem with my old Huawei router. Maybe go to someone else's home and test it there. If the problem is location then you should see different behaviour?

dont know what brand this router is suspect its zte checked the routers from huawei none looked like this one and the router interface is lack luster

i hung my Rain router outsude on the burglar bars in the middle of a 4 m wide window ,signal dropout improved ,i then put a big birdcage over it signal got better it wasnt dropping anymore ,put a big bucket over the birdcage for rain ,someone took the bucket ,it rained ,modem burnt out ,cancelled rain ,never went back .

if you fart on the tower can smell it that's how close I am to it, trust me signal is not the problem. however, staying connected without the need to power cycle is on a whole diff level.

tower is 5 houses away from me ,had the exact same problem.i was told im too close hence putting the box outside and higher up the signal radiates out at an angle according to what they told me .gave up eventually ,had to constantly restart the router ,that i set in the router software for every 30 minutes

try it in your roof space if you have one ,or outside ,i found if i turned the router that it was sideon to the tower when outside it improved

I don't know why Rain pushes so hard for 5G when 4G is more than able to provide good speeds.

problem is the router after some testing with support got a brand new dud xD , but anyway the replacement wil also not be delivered anytime soon as some smart ass when booking the replacement got my ID wrong ( they got it right the first time.. ) so cant schedule delivery and pickup. the rep on this forum has gone dark now .. maybe using same router as the one i got

my mtn normaly during the day its on ( no service ) more than anything else the loadshedding is also smashing this tower so its not winning sometime s off for 5 days on end not really reliable

at night do 100+ easily but as stated before only if it actually works xD
