You won't wait long in line when visiting Home Affairs either.

You can't use your SA passport to vote.

Would I then need to do anything else ? I recall having some yellow label placed in my ID book, not sure if that means anything ?

As long as you're on the voters roll and you have an acceptable form of ID you will be allowed to vote. The stickers you get when you register are not required.

You can apply, but it's a very few amount of banks. When I did mine I was allowed to go to Standard Bank in Killarney.

Can set up to do the photos and collection at a bank branch
Much easier than going to home affairs
I think they open for 25-40 age group now

Just ensure that you filled in the details correctly. It must be 100% the same as it is on the Home Affairs system so if you have 2 names and Jan was before Piet in your ID book then you need to have it like that when you complete the application.

Did you report your ID as lost / stolen as I presume this could also cause some problems.
