lost prepaid sim

I misplaced my pre paid sim. is it possible to do a sim swap? I don't have any proof that I am the owner.

I did a sim swap on a prepaid sim before with little trouble, but then again I was able to hand in the old sim, and it was the same day I purchased it and I had all the proof of payments ext...not sure if they will be helpful if you cannot proof you are the owner.

Get a new sim - less effort, except that you will loose your number

yip less effort, but I loaded a gig data bundle on it 2 days ago
btw, I found the certificate of the sim so at least I have proof now

I think it cost abt R60, so at least I'll gain the R230. , data bundle cost 289

R99 when my mom went to get her new one 4 months ago. You need the card with the sim number and puk on or the paper like you have to get it right away.

Done it a couple of times with vodacom after having phones stolen and its no big deal...u just do a sim swap.
They ask you like 5 recently called ph no's
