Approved and licensed in South Africa by the Mpumalanga Gambling and Racing Board and operated by LottoStar (Pty) Ltd Ltd [Reg no 2007/011071/07 (Licence Number 6519)], LottoStar.co.za is the first website of its kind to ever be launched exclusively for the South African market.

I've been looking for something like this. If its legit.

Haven't heard anything about it before...

I've just won R15.00.

Seems legit. They're constantly punted on Highveld as well (not that it makes too much difference I guess). I did put in my card details with a small limit though just incase

LottoStar.co.za: It’s here, and it’s Awesome.

Admittedly, these days money plays a particularly large factor in nearly everything we do. Fair enough, it’s always been important – but thanks to our ever-tightening economy and the (quite frankly) ridiculous rising costs, even those who earn substantial five- and six-digit salaries are finding themselves having to tighten the proverbial purse strings ever so often, and curb their usually-confident spending habits. Some of us may have even resorted to taking up part-time and after-hours jobs in a desperate attempt to avoid the classic scenario of “Oh crap, there’s still more month left at the end of my money!”

All good and well we’re doing this, but the one restraining factor is time – or rather, the lack thereof. Life is fast-paced and hectic – so where the hell are we expected to still find the time, let alone energy, to still be delivering pizzas or playing bartender over weekends? Those who couldn’t give a damn about that, but who still need to somehow find a way of generating some extra income, may have taken to our local lottery games – and an educated few may have even resorted tointernational lotto games. Lovely stuff right, and the chance for us to dream about that jetsetting lifestyle which a tiny (and sometimes large) part of every single one of us secretly longs to lead. The only problem with our local games, is that the jackpot prizes on offer are …mediocre at best, wouldn’t you agree? It would be great winning R5 million, but let’s be realistic guys – maybe a new house, new dream car, and before you know it you’re already starting to carefully weigh up any more large purchases.

This is why we’re actually excited to tell you a bit more about*LottoStar.co.za*– brand new to our South African market, and boy oh boy – it’s going to be a real humdinger, that much we can guarantee you! Created by South Africans*for*South Africans, the guys and girls behind this website definitely have their fingers on our local pulse; and they’ve hit the nail right on the head with their revolutionary new product which is bound to create some serious waves in our gaming market. What separates them from the rest out there? What makes*them*so special and worthy of your attention?

That right there, ladies and gentlemen. Take a very careful look at those numbers. Having difficultly counting all those zeros? Thanks to this incredible offering, those who*register*to play the LottoStar games are able to win*up toR160 MILLION! We can already hear you saying, “Nooit mah china, there’s no bladdy way we can play for such huge prizes!” Allow us to leave you standing corrected: There*is*a way; and in case you’re still playing the role of the steely-eyed sceptic, we can actually reassure you that LottoStar.co.za has been fully licensed and approved by the Mpumalanga Gambling Board –*and*the potential jackpot winnings are insured! What does all this fancy jargon actually mean? Well, for starters, any South African player is able to*legally participate*in the game of their choice on the website; and not only that, but you are actually able to determine*yourvery own jackpot prize thanks to the awesome interface – and be assured that your winnings*will*indeed be paid out to you.

For as little as R3.50, you are able to*play LottoStar online*– and from the comfort of your own home; seeing as it’s entirely online-based! Not only does this save you some of your valuable time – it’s no longer necessary to go stand in stupid queues to play your*lucky numbers*– but you are able to play at anytime, from anywhere! They have a total of three games being offered:

EuroMillionsSpanish DailySuperEnaLotto

They’re also ranked in a particular order – this is how it works. Essentially what they are offering, is a fixed-odds online betting service – you are betting on the results of each of these games. If your numbers match up to the numbers drawn (or a combination thereof), then you’re a winner – it’s literally as simple as that. Furthermore, each game has the potential to offer up its very own jackpot prizes, depending on the gaming options which you select

Did they pay the money straight back into your account when you won?

Time to retire :)

I won R15.00 ;)

But I have lost R50.00 or so.

IOt's like Sportsbet - they have an account that you deposit funds into and you transact from there. When you're done, you withdraw back to the credit card (I haven't done that part though)

OK. I use playsalottery to buy normal SA lotto tickets. Works the same way. Bit if a faff to withdraw the money every time.

Which games did you play?

They have this Keno game that draws every 4 minutes - I've been trying that. I bought a few entries into the Euro for later

Yea, hehe ...

They have 3 'normal' lottos and 3 Keno games that are every 4 minutes

You can choose from R1 and select 6 numbers - but only win R950.00 - and up to R30.00, select 12 numbers and win R3,000,0000. Keno is very expensive, but I just used it as my trial

EDIT : The Spanish Lotto is R3.50 for R30m and R5 for R60m

Nice.

I registered, funded, played, and lost R100- in about an hour.
Didn't have to submit any paper work. I won't really be using this at all, but working in the gaming industry I'm always curious about these things.
Actually seems very straight forward. I think this might be a very good alternative to our national lotto for those into this kind of thing.
