SOMETIMES YOU come upon a cellphone that makes you wish you'd waited to upgrade your contract. The Nokia E65 is one of those. In its slim, sliding form it's one of the best looking phones that Nokia has released in quite some time - especially the use of fake leather that adds an element of class.

It is a great phone, non the less. Girlfriend got one last week.

I just got an E65 for myself over the weekend. Had to pay in R599 for it on a Talk 200 package.

So far so good, it does everything it's promised so far. I've installed fring to hook into skype and google talk, all good.

Only have to figure out how to get the default browser to recognise the wifi network 1st instead of immediately going to 3g.

Ive been interested in this phone for a while now - slim, 3g, wifi, slick looking, sweeeeeeeeeet. Howz the battery life?

it looks ok but the length of the voice recording has always been an issue, and the fact that can't change the buttons functions (camera and assignment) is about the only gripes.

I agree - battery life seem on par with normal smartphones - about 2 days with moderate use (including some, but little WiFi).

And the buttons are stupid - the phonebook button is fine, the "Own" key is fine, but who's going to use the conference call button?!

No FP1 and cannot change the size of the text which is small... nice phone but watch for E65i....

oooh only 15mm thick, now to wait 6 months for the price to drop
