Low Budget System: What do you guys think?

Asus P5QSE2 Board
HD4870 1GB
Gigabyte odin 585w
2gb Corsiar 800mhz
Dual core E6300 (2.8ghz)
2x 500GB WesternDigital (prefered) or Seagate
Zonar u1 sound card
Coolermaster Gladiator 600 case

This is what I can afford with my limited budget (R5000). Will i have any compatiblity issues and more importantly, what do you think about the system?

PS: I've got Samsung 2232GW hoping to upgrade to P2450.

Any opinion or advice is welcome!

the hd4870 might just bottleneck your CPU... maybe if you can run 3to four gig ram would also help for the GPU. Other than that it sounds perfect.

Ditch the Gigabyte PSU for a Coolermaster or Vantec one and it all looks good.

Personally i'd go for the cheaper RAM (like kingston/supertalent) and get 4GBs of it for the same price as 2GB of the corsair. Unless you benchmark i doubt you'd notice the difference
 
Definitely get budget RAM to go to 4GB, it'll make a much bigger difference than Corsair's brand name will.
 
That sound card, you do know it's USB right? It's aimed at laptop users :/

Rather get the Xonar DX, that will be better than onboard :)

Didn't think a 4870 would bottleneck a dual core.
 
That card requires 2 pcie connectors and that Gigabyte psu only has one so would he notice any performance decrease as opposed to say a Vantec ioN2+N 500 watt?

I think he was trying to say that the dual core would bottleneck the 4870. It will bottleneck the GPU in games that use more than 2 cores. GTAIV, Farcry2, etc... I have a similar setup with a 3.3Ghz E5200 and it still bottlenecks the 4870 but the fps are enough (for now anyway..30+)

Edit: Get 4GB of ram.
Also, there's no real performance difference between the 512MB and the 1GB version. So get the 4870 512MB or if you want to spend a bit more just get a 4890 which will give you 15-20% more performance when compared to a 4870...rather than the 0-5% performance increase when going from a 512MB card to a 1GB card.
