Lower Back Pain

I've twice had back surgery so interested in this topic. Though thankfully free from pain since the last op, I've often wondered what happened to this research (old article from 2013):

"Up to 40% of patients with chronic back pain could be cured with a course of antibiotics rather than surgery, in a medical breakthrough that one spinal surgeon says is worthy of a Nobel prize..."

I've also had my fair share of chronic back pain but no surgery yet. This was blown out out proportion and mostly taken out of context. The context being that it's a useful treatment after spinal surgery because of possible bacterial infections.

There was no clinically relevant benefit compared to placebo in further clinical trials done as a general treatment for chronic back pain.

Some things one can/may try: Nothing I suggest is going to kill your bank.
1-Avoid all red meat for 3 months and see if pain disappears. Eat chiken.
2-You has a bucket car seat. Fill the seat bottom with a cushion that don't grab your behind(Right stiffness) and hold it(Like a bucket seat) while you move rest of upperbody left or right reaching for things, like old car seats before the bucket.
3-When sleeping, try find a position(Experiment) where you have no pain, and try to sleep that way.
4-Some problems can take 2 years to go away if given a change.
5-Theres a little book in library alled "Sport Injuries" with illustrations of where pain is felt and info about that and heal time.
6-Operations are tricky.....From people I know I have not seen much success. I know of people that get lower back pain from red meat.

I don't normally get back pain, but ive been sitting for long periods of time working.
What's the best thing to use? Can I use Deep Heet?

depends where the pain is, what kind of pain etc
Stretching and mobility exercises as well as core strengthening can work wonders
