LTE enabled but now calls not ringing through

Vodacom upgraded the tower close to my house and now i get an LTE signal on my iphone 5. The problem is no voice calls come through. It just rings on the other end but nothing shows on the phone. If i switch back to 3G or Edge voice calls work again. This only seems to be happening at the tower by my home. Ive tried resetting network settings and rebooting the phone. Has been a problem on IOS 6 and now 7. Any ideas how to fix this or what is causing it. Vodacom recommend i disable LTE :-(

What is the exact model number of your iPhone? Did you get it directly from Vodacom?

Ok, so 3 years later almost to the date, the error pops up again but this time on Huawei!
I know of 4 Huawei devices (3xP7 and 1 xP8) all on Vodacom and have these symptoms since Wed/Thurs last week.

When Network Mode is set to (Automatic, 4G,3G,2G)
Incoming calls don't ring on the device, caller hears a ring tone and then voice mail
Out going calls work but there is a long delay on the first call in a given time
If you check voice mail it takes a while to work, then does and for the next short period incoming calls ring through.
The above across various towers.

Forcing the phone to use 3G,2G solves the problem. Confirmed.

Begs the question, what changed on the Vodacom Network on the 21st / 22nd?
