Please could somebody recommend me a LTE/HSPA+/HSDPA/3G modem with an Ethernet port, so that I can plug it into the WAN #2 port of my Router for when my DSL goes down.

Prerequisits:
  1. Not vodacom.
  2. LTE/HSPA+/HSDPA/3G
  3. Ethernet port with static IP, so that I can connect to my WAN port.

I do not need it to have:

  1. Wifi
  2. DHCP
  3. Multiple ethernet ports
  4. Gimicks or other junky frills.

I would like it to be DD-WRT compatible if possible, to increase my options in the future.

Huawei E593 is probably your best bet.

It does have everything you want plus everything you don't want...

Really nice router!

I don't think you will find a LTE modem without WiFi...

Thanks is it stable? Is that one actually LTE?

Well I guess as long as I can turn the WiFi off...

Yeah it's LTE 150Mbps.

Just find a place with full Signal and plug in your LAN cable and off you go. I'm pretty sure you will be able to switch off the wifi but haven't tried...

Don't have access to the router anymore...
