Hi

I recently upgraded to the s8 and since then I've had really bad 4g. Had s7 before b and never had an issue and never even see it switch to 3g at all. And now I'm currently seeing E. Went to Vodacom and they told me to contact support which I did and they said the setting was different on their side and it will be fixed within an hour. That was a week ago. In my room (which had full 4g reception when I had my s7) now I get 1 bar or 2 and even if it says 4gb it will say unable to connect to internet.

Can anyone advise me what to do? Please and thanks

Check your APN settings.. maybe create a new APN for vodacom

Else try resetting the phone back to factory default. read on a website some people have reported no LTE coverage. Reset seems to have worked

I have a Vodacom S8 and if anything their LTE is better than ever with Rain LTE+ roaming it's pretty awesome. +- 100Mbps on LTE+ is awesome.

Wow.. Great speeds.. Roaming on Rain network.. Damn my area still not covered by Rain..

I have an iPhone and often can't connect to the internet even if the phone shows 4g or 3g. When taking it up with vodacom all I get is that the network is congested and there might be too many devices connected to the tower, but yet my 3G router works perfectly...

Yes indeed. 125Mbps Vodacom roaming on Rain with 2 carrier aggregation between band 1 and band 38. :D What is more unreal is that Rain's network is capable of doing these speeds for a Vodacom customer but they don't even support a router that can do it on their own network. So sad actually. The B618 does not aggregate the two bands.
