Thought I'd just rub it in a bit  - just had LTE enabled on the O2 network in the UK.

Getting some great speeds! :)

Its around £22 for 20Mbps (line + dsl) - totally unlimited. The provider states in their T&C - we will never throttle or shape you no matter how much you download :)

I recently did a tour around western Europe.

I used the 3G wifi at the hotels.

UK I reached 14mbps

Frankfort airport in Germany 14mbps

Switzerland 17 mbps

Italy: to slow to read, as slow as edge.

France about 9mbps if I remember correctly.

At home I get 5-11 mbps on 8ta 3G

But I've seen 8ta LTE in cresta reach 39mbps. YouTube hd videos buffed instantly, web pages..hu!...smoked.

Seriously for LTE that speed is very poor, LTE at ful potentiall will reach 300mbps.

I cant remember if it was China or Japan but one of them reached the half gig per second barrier.

Interesting to note that we have world class speeds in the mobile arena. Actually, we seem to be ahead of the curve...wow. Can it be true?
