I used to have a telkom ADSL line which was more off than on because of cable theft. I had 5gig on the ADSL. Now have gone to LTE with 5gig as well. Never did I use up my data before always only used about 60%. Now run out of data.
I am not downloading videos or movies. Just use fb and see the videos that are posted, would this use up all my data.
How do I keep a check on how much data I use every day. Tried to call Telkom but have been on the phone for 1/2 hour and still on hold. I am not very bright when it comes to computers so any help would be great.

Wireless will always use more than ADSL especially if you are in a marginal area .
There are many reasons for this error corrections and maintaining a connection are some there are many more .

Also, depending on what line you were, the videos may upscale to better quality on lte if the speed supports it, which in turn will use up more data.
