This only goes to show how much the crime is increasing. Its not getting better but far worse. It also goes to show that the criminals dont actually care who you are, if you have something they want then you are as good as dead.

Agreed. It is sad to have another killing, and while it is commendable for the cops to say they will "leave no stone unturned to catch the killers", it is also sad that they don't do the same for all the other 'ordinary' victims of crime as they do for 'hi profile' cases.

Kom Thabo, and minister of safety & security (not!), come tell us again that crime is just a perception

It really sux, I cannot imagine having to watch your father die before you. My heart goes out to his family.

I'm not sure how to put this but perhaps having black celebreties killed off due to crime the general populace will start to wake up to the reality of the crime wave in SA and stop believeing that their govt is doing a good job.

Unfortunately we are so conditioned to violence it takes the shock of the murder of a prominant celebrity to put it all in perspective.

More murders over the weekend than in the week, more in the festive season than outside the season and so forth...

Must say i agree, its probably more like 100 a day. 50 reported.

I have mentioed this before on the forum, here it is again..

I know someone that was hijacked and killed in Gauteng last year. This person died of his injuries a few days after the incident. The death certificate read, died of natural causes.

On investigation it seems this is now the norm, and I have heard of a few cases like this. The parents of the deceased, gave up long ago trying to change the death certificate. Let alone the police never even did one little bit of investigation. After all why should there be an investigation if somebody died of natural causes. The killers are still running around fourways, more people have probably died since too of "natural causes. "

Now wonder the crime statistics look like they coming down, go figure
