Every season there is the inevitable grousing by rival fans about how 'lucky' a rival team has been, so this season I'm starting a table that keeps a record of the number of 'lucky' points gained by teams each weekend.

Since I don't watch all the games, I'll be relying on you lot to contribute every week and I'll keep the table updated.

Note: I won't be recording all points for the weekend, only those deemed lucky.

I'll probably refine the table as we go along, but this will do fine for now.

Maybe this could work if each of the top supported teams here (liv, mun, che, ars, mci, (are any of the others seriously represented here on MyBB) nominated someone to form part of a panel that decides.

First submission

MUN vs Spurs - no doubt that United was fortunate to be walking away with 3 points.

Own goal by Spurs - 2 shots on goal by United in the entire game.

This is actually a good idea.

I'll admit MU were very lucky to take 3 points yesterday.

At one point we were 1-0 up without a shot on target. :o

Anyways, I'm sure we'll get better as the season moves on.

Nah, I don't like this idea. It's very subjective and based on your natural liking/dislike of a team. While in rare cases it may be obvious....in most cases it will be based on which team has the most haters

For me, nearly every season the champion is the team that has the best team and luck combined. Unless a team totally dominates this happens every year

Guess I hate United with a passion :D

Why isnt Chelsea here? Did you see their goals? You can add Crystal Palace too.How are you working it when teams are unlucky? Surely that should reflect as negative points on the table? This thread seems more like an attempt to take a pop at United than an actual summary of lucky/unlucky teams.

Well, West Ham currently have two unanswered goals at the Emirates... Depending on what happens in the next 30, those would surely qualify.

Yup...

Refer OP

I will try to be as objective as possible and will rely on both the rest of the fan base here and what the post match fellas on DSTV have to say.

Give it a chance

Eg, there are a couple of games last season that I would happily have put Liverpool down for.

Yup...

Do you really, objectively believe that Chelsea was lucky to get a point yesterday? I don't think so - it was a corker of a game.

Yes, Swansea were better and deserved the win, Chelsea scored fluke goals. See why this doesnt work. Crystal Palace too.

Why? Like I said, I can't watch all the games so rely on input from everyone.

Also, have to wait till end of game yeah

Now I'm conflicted... West Ham by two BUT... Those weren't lucky points at all. The Hammers deserved the win. They made Arsenal look average

Was Liverpool lucky? ;) . In my unbiased opinion they weren't . They deserved the win
