Lumina SS V8.

If you're the one buying the petrol for it and are aware of how much it'll cost you - besides being absolutely horrendous to the environment with its emission levels - then go for it. V8's? A thing of the past - or soon will be when we get better environmental controls in SA. Modern technology has allowed for 3L turbo's to use half the amount of fuel and possibly wipe the SS's arse. It's a big, butch Ozzie / US production, for a bygone age. Still looks hot and I'd love to own one! Aren't I full of contradictions... point is, it would be a weekend spinner, and - at R350k odd - I'm not in that league. Or would spend money on better causes anyway.

My dad drive one of the older models, well not THAT old, just the 5.7 litre model. I quite like them, maybe not as classy inside as some of it's rivals, but it is a real nice beast to drive. You definately get more car for your money than with any of it's price competitors.

I think the new 6.0 litre is much nicer than the older shape, but I wouldn't exactly call the old shape "pig ugly" like Nocturnity did :D

I'm really seriously considering buying one now. With the 2nd-hand car market where it is and fuel prices, people are getting rid of them for cheap. I can get a 2007 with 18 000km for R259 000. Hmm... I'll ride the bike to work and use the car as, well, a car! :)

Noooooooo, don't buy it... it's pig ugly :D
