Luno cancelled my withdrawal without explanation

:twisted: Been with Luno since 2014 when they were BitX. Yesterday I sold some BTC and withdrew the proceeds to my bank account. It's a new bank account but I completed a test withdrawal to it a few weeks ago. Today I log into Luno and see the message "withdrawal cancelled." No explanation given, no contact from Luno, just cancelled. :wtf:

It wasn't a huge amount either, lower end of 5 figures.

Did not expect this kind of stunt from Luno. I have payments to make and this has thrown a spanner in the works. Lunomoney, what's the story?
 
Have you logged a support ticket via their site?
Sometimes things go wrong, not everything is a 'stunt'.
I'm assuming you're properly verified and have withdrawn similar amounts before?
 
Yes, logged a ticket but their support takes ages. I need the money today.

Things can go wrong but I expect an explanation when they do. Cancelling trades without warning or explanation is just not on.

Yes, verified years ago and it's not like I'm pulling millions.

Hi Sean,

Sorry to hear about the frustrations here. Regardless of the reason we should communicate something with you.
Off the top of my head, I can only think the withdrawal was rejected if it wasn't being done to a personal bank account in your name.

Please PM me a ticket ref# so I can track things down and take it from there.

Definitely my personal bank account.

Second withdrawal was processed as usual, same day. Come to depend on Luno's quick withdrawals when I need unexpected cash!

What probably happened here is the BTC I deposited was sent as an RBF tx, so that maybe got flagged as "risky." I withdrew at least 10 blocks after it hit Luno's wallet tho, so no riskier than any other BTC deposit... Tell your account processing people that RBF is safe?

Bank withdrawals don't take any BTC transactions into account.
Please PM me a ticket ref# so that I have better context and can check your account.

My withdraw was also cancelled from luno without any reason. I have been withdrawing several times. I dont understand what is happening. Sent a support ticket let us see what happens.
 
And people will still say that regulation is bad.
 
Luno is slacking hard this morning, still waiting for deposits from last week to clear. At thus rate I will drop them asap, not good at all

Has anybody here actually been successfully been able to withdraw a 6+ figure sum into their personal accounts from Luno lately without problems, or know someone personally who has in the last month?
 
Never had problems with deposit or withdrawal. Had 50K paid out on Friday. Chop chop.

I withdrew 6+ figure this morning, got it at 9am (Fnb accounts are instant)
 
The powerful can do whatever they want. Let's start an ICO to put Luno out of business :D
 
can't seem to get my eth out, is stuck on pending on Luno with no record on my account. Thanks guys, I'm only missing out on the Colossus release for REQ while this has been happening. No big deal
 
Not sure how long the first attempt waited for. I cancelled it eventually and submitted a new withdraw request. That was at 4:15 it's been 45 minutes
