I think the market for ultra luxury phones is there, but Vertu just weren't providing the goods. Their hardware was always out of date or unspectacular from the start, and their designs were fugly.

A stupid tactic for Vertu to focus on, seeing as the wealthy people they're targeting will already have concierge via any of their private bank accounts. Or a superior standalone service like Quintessentially.
