Of course it is, perhaps not those building though. My comment went to the woman's character stating that she does not sound like someone who would be ungrateful as was said.

Its not about being ungrateful, its about thanking something that had absolutely nothing to do with the bridge falling or with the person surviving...

I see it way too often in groups of people... thanking god for things that were actually down to hard working individuals.

But it is ultimately a totally seperate debate that has no place in this thread. This was a tragedy that was down to human error of some kind, and now is being marred by a bunch of arrogant knts who think we care about them re-opening the road.

The mind actually just boggles at the complete fekking arrogance of the knts at the top.

Exactly.

Surely with all the traffic chaos that this has caused you would want the highway open as soon as it was safe to do so.

Oh yay..

Everyone, be still, Parks Tau has arrived at Grayston so everything is good.

We of course won't talk about the many millions of rands that this fscktard has cost the country by being such an arrogant twit.

Yup. That's what going on record to a reporter does. It directs your comments at the audience.

So write a letter to the editor with your views. She or the news source is not going to respond on this forum.

:erm:

Don't know how that's censorship, actually provided an idea that would reach a wider audience

You implied that my view wasn't welcome here :p
Back on topic, I see that bottom feeding piece of **** we have to call a mayor has finally arrived from his late lunch

This.

The problem of the culture in this country is that the contractors can't produce good construction drawings like they do in the UK.
Absolute rubbish!!!! I am a civil engineer and worked for 12 years in construction in South Africa. Been working in the UK for 8 months. The drawings here are shocking. Poor quality, revisions are not tracked properly and not updated properly. Bending schedules are a joke. Never come across such poor quality drawings.

I see that the M1 is ready to be reopened, but that they are waiting for the Major to brief the media and officially open the road. What a load of cr@p - just open the road already.

All the good civils guys left the UK decades ago because of lack of development/opportunity ;)

Add to it the number of times I've seen contractor lying and cheating on the concrete quality in order to make savings and you get a bridge without proper pillars ready to collapse.
Where have you seen this? What have you done to resolve it?
