I have a Elonex Webbook & would like to run Mac OS on it. What is the minimum spec to run Hackintosh?

The same specs as running Leopard or Snow Leopard.

Intel Core CPU (32 or 64bit)
1GB RAM
1024x712 display
6GB HDD space

Sorry, it's not gonna work. It does work well on intel atom netbooks with gma950 graphics or nvidia ion.

It will run with no graphics accleration, that's for sure. I don't know if the Via C7 processor does SSE3 or even SSE2 so it will be difficult/not really worth it.

Go for Linux instead!

The idea is to have the benefit of OSX until such time that my budget allows for the purchase of the MacBook Pro. I see it can be bought for under $1000 in the USA with me having family in the USA I will be taking up that option in Feb 2010.

I have had enough of Microsoft & there clunky OS

Ya once you go Mac, you don't go back! Been running OS X since 2006 - on a P4!
