Ok so I have downloaded Lion from the App store at R215. (Thanks to Mweb uncapped)
Presently downloading OSX to my Macbook Pro. The store allows future downloads to all Mac's registered with the same App. account.
A problem I've seen so far is that the Vodafone software will have to be updated.
Maybe we can use this thread to note any problems as they are identified.
Oh yes, the new Lion wallpaper is also absent. I have used the one included with the Snow Leopard.

No need to download for every machine you want to install on... Once you download it and the installer starts running, don't click on continue just yet (the installer deletes itself after installationi). Go to your apps folder and copy the "Install osx Lion.app" file (this is the one that was downloaded) onto a memory stick and use it to install onto your other machines that have the same app store account.

Yay, all done, and working like a bomb :-) Well done to apple for making that as painless as possible.

I'm too scared for my Bootcamp partition. Read that some users' dissappeared after the upgrade. Think I will wait it out for a week or so.

Really not liking what they've done with spaces.

And apparently I can't post to the forum using safari or chrome? :o

Safari works fine here. I finally find spaces semi-usable, now that I can see them in Expose, and swipe between them, but I never really liked it before.

I'm definitely having issues - particularly replying to posts.

My only issue so far is TrueCrypt won't even start. Apparently it's due to MacFuse, but I can't even get that installed. The Preference Panel is there, but it says MacFuse-Core isn't.

Right, clicked the buy button, downloaded, created an installer flash disk and ready to launch the installer.
Wish me luck.

I launched the recovery partition and repaired permissions which seem so have done away with a few niggles.

Wow, it's a painless and quite quick install.
About two minutes for the prep stage and about 30 min for the main install.
Watched some tv and came back to the MBP greeting me with the funky new login screen.
The scrolling and some of the new app interfaces are going to take some getting used to. Overall the "new aqua" makes the interface feel flat.
My machine does feels faster tho.
