So I took my MacBook Pro in a week ago to fix a broken graphics card. On Apple's support site, they acknowledge that the graphics cards they installed is faulty so they extended the warranty to three years. My MacBook is two years old, so the broken graphics card must be fixed under the extended warranty. I took my Macbook the V&A Waterfront iStore because there is a technician onsite... No they told me the Logicboard olso got damage because of the graphics card that broke... I told them about the extended warranty, but because Core is not real Apple agent, they don't really give any support, so the technician is in talks with Apple Europe to fix my MacBook under the warranty...
Now the problem is, it is a week later and nothing has been done... I sent three emails to the technician at the iStore with no-response, what can I do now?
Should I go fetch it and give it to DigiCape?

The short answer is YES.

Apple are aware of the problem with old laptops and are supposed to fix it. Core is supposed to honour the warranty without question. The graphics card is fixed to the board, so that is not an excuse, but a description of the underlying problem.

1. Take to Digicape.
2. Complain on Hellopeter.
3. Phone upper management.
4. Take to small claims court if nothing materialises.
5. Buy a Panasonic laptop next time. Honestly, Apple needs to improve their QA.

Who is upper management for Apple SA?

There is no Apple SA. If some low level management guy is giving you hassle, speak to someone in higher management.

From what I've noticed, Core is not a company which feels compelled to offer a great customer experience, as judged by the un-enthusiastic calls from their managers and general customer support. Then again all customer support in SA is deteriorating so maybe that's all OK.

If you're not being helped, take the documents and take them to the small claims court. If they don't appear, they lose by default and then the sheriff collects the $$$ on your behalf.

I wrote a quick complaint on hellopeter.
Will get my laptop this week and take it to Digicape.
I also emailed Core group (upper management)... will now wait for their response.
Next step is small claims court. Guess I will leave my laptop with the iStore and wait and see what happens if they don't repair it. Then take it to Digicape and take the iStore to small claims court...

Anyone who knows a good lawyer?

Thank Apple in Cupertino for letting them get away with it. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth, the way Apple treats smaller markets.
