Mac users are smarter than Windows users, according to a recent study.

The study was conducted by Intelligent Elite: they asked two million Internet users to perform an online IQ survey. The study revealed some remarkable differences.

Mac users scored an average of six IQ points higher than Windows users.

Also users who are running on Linux, scored better than Windows users.
iPad owners scored better than the average Mac users: they appear to be the most intelligent of all.

The researchers assume that the differences are due to the high price tag on Apple products. As a result, Apple products are often bought by people with a better paid job, which in many cases have a higher education.

... as if we wouldn't know.

PS: I have an iPad too

PPS: No offense

:D

(I'm just messing with ya windows users)

Well as long as linux is higher than Windows...

I'm wondering about height now. I want to perform a study to see which users are the tallest on average: Mac users, Windows users or Linux users.

what if i use osx, windows and linux? does that make me both slightly cleverer and cleverer than my dumb self?

So what product is "Intelligent Elite" trying to sell to gullible Apple users?

The IQ app for only $19.99
Coming to itunes soon....

You don't have to. I can tell you straight away we are the smartest, tallest, sexiest operating system users.

Well, it's incorrect to say "...are often bought by people with better jobs". More accurate would be to say "...bought more often by wealthy people than poor people", which is a stupid thing to say. It amounts to saying: "Wow! Our amazing research has shown that rich people are more likely to buy expensive goods than poor people! Truly amazing findings!"

Macs are often required by specialist users (specifically in the graphics designing), and are generally more expensive than PC's, so the users would tend to be from a different "class" and more educated. Many more people have access to PC's, including less educated and poorer people.

And we all know the Linux issue as well. Most Linux users are quite tech savvy, and it is only in recent years that Linux stopped requiring extensive command line operations to be utilised effectively.

I don't know why the study organisers bother stating the obvious...

I think an important missing factor here is what percentage of the tests were completed by osx/linux/windows?

Well, OSX users of course since windows users weren't smart enough to get it done, they were all busy starring at their blue screens
