MacBook Air M1 track pad issues

I've had it on my Pro a few times. After the last update it stopped doing that. What happens is that the cursor stops moving on screen. But it still tracks.
 
Try changing your cursor size to a smaller size (if possible). Sounds silly but it worked on my dad's Pro.
If you are not on the latest OS, upgrade.
 
Has this issue been a problem with the latest macOS update?

I should be getting my MBA M1 this week and was wondering if this issue is still a thing
