Ok so i have decided to buy the MacBook Air from iStore for R14999, as compared to the Vaio TT at R18999 ...

Does the Air come with a word processor and excel sort of app??? ... .what about the Windows VM is that free to download? so that i can run windows apps off .... and the price ... is it a good price?

As far as i know it doesn't come with Microsoft Office. Could be wrong though.

Nope, you'll need to download Open office for free, or buy iWork (around R950 I think) or Office for Mac.

No. It comes with OSX & iLife only. If you want some office environment you will need something like iWork, MS Office or free Open Office 3.

Parallels & VMWare Fusion are not free. Virtualbox however is free and a very nice VM. http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/virtualbox-running-windows-on-a-mac-for-free-sort-of/

Price almost sounds to cheap if you ask me.

The lack of an Ethernet port will make this a no-no for me. Only one USB & cramped i/o ports.
I would rather have a Dell Adamo but I suspect it will cost x2 more.

Screw Panasonic, you should look at General Dynamics. They kick Panasonics ass when it comes to ruggadised notebooks.
