Yeah uhm...as Incredible Connection historically goes they pretty much never know anything about what's potting from their own mothership.

Very much doubt it's a scam based on their known partnership...

Thats a great deal.

Replace the RAM with 8gb or 16gb and put in a 256gb SSD and it will be perfect.
For R10k you can have a Macbook with 8gb RAM and 256GB SSD and then put the old 500GB hdd in the CDRom.
I have the previous version of that model from 2011 but with the above upgrades and I have never noticed it being slow.
Battery still lasts 5-6hours which is un heard of for a 5yr laptop.

How old is old?

1280 by 800 resolution, 4GB RAM
, 5400rpm harddrive. I think it is a 2011/2012 model. Its the model just before they took out the DVD drive and made the Macbook smaller.
For that price if the user is a non IT person its a good deal since Macbooks are super easy to use and have long battery life
