Hi everyone

I have a 13 inch Macbook Pro (mid 2012).

I would like to upgrade my RAM from the standard 4Gigs.
I will have the iStore fit it(to keep warranty and all), I just wanted to know which are the best brands to look out for and where to buy to get the best prices?

I have made sure that the iStore will fit it even if I buy somewhere else.

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure installing RAM yourself will see you lose your warranty. Obviously double check that.

Apple or Core will milk you while you could get any "normal" sticks you prefer.

It won't... And this has been discussed on MyBB before.
OP, get yourself some DDR3 1600MHz RAM and then refer to the owner's manual on how to install it. The whole process shouldn't take you five minutes. I used Transcend but OWC or Kingston are also good.

I have 2x Corsair DDR3 1333Mhz 4GB Modules for sale if you want. I removed them from my Macbook Pro to install 16GB :)
Installation is easy as pie man - dont let CORE milk you with their stupid prices

I agree with Rishalin get you the Corsair Vengence sticks It is very easy just make sure you have the correct screwdrivers you don't want to damage the screws. If you want compatible brands have a look on macrumours there's a buying guide to tested ram brands.

You do not lose your warranty if you upgrade your own RAM or hard drive in your macbook. Even a retard with a screwdriver can change the RAM so you can do it no problem.

Hi Rishalin, which macbook pro is that. I'm currently shopping around for a Macbook Pro but only if it supports 16GB ram.

The non-retina MacBook Pro's can be user upgraded to 16GB RAM. I have the 2011 13" and I installed 16GB DDR3 1333. The current versions require DDR3 1600.

Hi Man,

Sorry I sold the ram already :(
All Macbook Pro's from 2011 upwards will support 16GB - if I'm not mistaken. Except the Retina as the ram there is fixed.
