Not watched it yet but talk to me...too early to gauge?

I'm finding all these remakes of my childhood favorites rather annoying, as they keep tarnishing their legacies.

I lasted 15 minutes, before I deleted this crap.

This honestly isn't tarnishing anything. If you watch any episode of anything from your childhood, you'll realize we had really bad standards.
MacGyver was probably the best of the lot, but nightrider, airwolf, the a team were bad, really bad.
We've come such a long way with television production that we have forgotten how bad it was. These reboots are just basically showing us how bad it was, and if they were released in the 80s they'd be classics.

finally millenials will know what I mean everytime I use the phrase "so did you do a macguyver" when a DIY/hack solution is considered/used

Watched the 1st two epi's now. It's not **** but it's pretty bad mostly as the actor who plays the key dude (Macgyver) is just so bland & lacks the charisma of RDA.

The CSI bloke is slightly better. Show tends to drag already & it's "fresh".

Lastly a fair bit of the dialog is incredibly cheesy & not at all in a good way.

I know 22 epi's were ordered but at this early stage I highly doubt it will make a S2.

I have 2 more epi's to watch which I already downloaded. Then I will see if it's worth the bandwidth.

Milenials are actually born around 1982 and definitely know who MacGyver is.

Millennials. In October 2004, researchers Neil Howe and William Strauss called Millennials "the next great generation," which is funny. They define the group as "as those born in 1982 and approximately the 20 years thereafter." In 2012, they affixed the end point as 2004.

TBD. But that means that kids born in the last 10 years lack a designation. They are not Millennials. Earlier this month, Pew Research asked people what the group should be called and offered some terrible ideas. In other words, this is the new Generation Y. We'll figure out what they're called in the future.

I wasn't hoping for much in this reboot and was still quite disappointed. Got about half way before turning off.

There were a few things that made me think they were paying homage to the old Mac, this gave me hope.
The part where he said (talking to hacker): "You can hack computers - I hack everything else". I really thought they got it.... then no less than 5 mins away they show the hacker decrypting a hard drive by hitting it with a hammer and then with a few clicks of mouse is able to show all devices connected to the internet and track them in real time.

I just stopped right there.

I was going to mention the millennials thing :-) but decided naaah everyone seems to keep wanting to fight them, though they probably are technically them.

Ja, but they'll be wondering why you're referencing such a k@k show. This looks to be like another Knight Rider 2000.
