Machine Build help - DBN

Holy crap dude, almost sounds like you are on the verge of offing yourself and that over a bit of technical stuff.

Relax, take a chill pill.

1. Install MB in case using standoffs.
2. Install CPU.
3. Install PSU

Do not connect any cables except for the PSU, case pwr led, case pwr switch, case reset button & pc speaker.

You should at least get a beep out of the MB due to no ram or no gfx card (if no onboard) when you switch it on.

If you don't get that beep then there is seriously something wrong with your mobo, or it might just not have a speaker :D
 
Durban's a reasonably large place. Which part of Durban you from. There are many guys that will help you out. Most likely a dud part, guessing PSU first, then Mobo. But if you really want help, we need a few more details. For example, I live in Hillcrest, but to Cape Town people, I have to say Durban, coz they have no clue. But if you live in La Lucia, I'm not gonna drive down there for free, but if you live round the corner, I might do it for a 6 pack. Or a lot of guys here will talk you through the testing process, and you can try it yourself. If you still want to dump it, my rubbish bin is looking rather empty at the moment. I will gladly throw it away for you. :)

Do your self a favour. It is obvious that you are not comfortable with mucking around with the pc. It is then better not to start fiddling as the changes are that your could make the situation worse.

Let NomNom have a look at it!

Other people might rip you off. Also you have a friend then should future problems crop up.
He knows what he is doing, although it did not sound like it the way he described it:)
Anyways he can always phone me if he can't figure it out.:p

If not him, take up Ponder's offer. Him I don't know, but he is an old hand and it is obvious from his posts on this site that he knows his way around pc's. The other people I don't know.

My 2 cents. Use it, don't use it.

Last point: I would cover my head in shame if I sell R15K of pc equipment to a customer and I do not try all I am worth to try that pc up and running.:mad:

Dude, you really are into self flagellation! Wtf do you want to make your own life so difficult?

Several people here have offered to help you but you just carry on flogging yourself.

Some have made suggestions and asked questions, none of which you have responded to yet.

The pictures posted above are of no use as it all it indicates you have not connected anything.

Give us a list of the exact hardware (manufacturer & model etc) and which town/suburb do you live in, DBN is big.

You could have contacted any of those that offered help and your problem could have been sorted by now or at least have identified the faulty component if there is one.

Why the ****ing swearing and telling the very folks who were willing to visit you to assist, to **** off?
 
Why spend that money on parts when you clearly don't have a clue? that money could have been spent on someone making a pc for you...
