Just had my connection activated today

Network: Octotel
Connection: 100/25
Location: Lakeside , Cape town
Tests over WiFi 5ghz

Local and internation speedtests


Initial results are good , the free router they provided was rubbish TPlink AC750 it only managed to achieve a max download speed of 48Mbps, after configuring the account in my old Zyxel 8924 router these were the results.

Are you still happy with Seacom? They appear to be the cheapest 100/25mbps ISP on octotel.

They are not the cheapest, adept is cheaper by a few rands. I am happy with their product though. The free install WITHOUT a claw back clause is another big plus.

Funny that they have a claw-back with you. When I signed up, on Vumatel, I asked them if there is a claw-back for the free install and they told me no.

Octotel is digging trenches in front of my house as I type (1st and only FNO in the area). Would you recommend Microlan as an ISP as their prices do look good? Looking at a download line speed of at least 100mb.
