Madrid bans 'manspreading' on buses

Have you ever been on a plane and the man next to you spreads his legs so one leg is on your side?

Very irritating.

And even I as a guy (I lived 2 years in Madrid) was avoiding sitting next to guys doing that so I can understand that women won't.

Though it's not worth a major announcement and a campaign as it seems to be, it's a small inconvenience, nothing more.

Anything/body that invades my personal space, I avoid it.

The correct solution here is to place your hand on his thigh. That ususlly maskes them uncomfortable if they are heterosexual and they end up giving you more space.

In Madrid, you'd probably be punches by a non negligible percentage of the people...
 
So they don't have a problem with people who put their bags on seats, or people who like to lounge across two or more seats, or people who spread their arms wide? Just males who spread their legs. Hmmm. No feminazi agenda detected at all.

Oh yes, I recall now. This one behemoth once told me she's 'big' because of some thyroid condition or something. She had to take the piece of KFC out of her mouth and put the coke down to tell me that, but I got it. How insensitive of me.

At an obesity rate of 25% that would be quite frequent. Let's see if "Women at War" campaign for fatties to be banned next.

The obesity is concentrated in the poorer areas (like in most developed countries) so not so much in Madrid (or at least in the areas where I was going) but rather in the countryside.
