Hi Guys

So this weekend I had a bit of a wow free weekend. Yesterday afternoon
i thought: I'll let my Rogue get some nice rested XP and roll a mage.

OMG !!!!

This must be the most fun I have had with any class. I really like this mage, thinking of putting it down all the way to lvl 70 also :o

I'm playing Fire currently, and the damage done is massive. Can't wait to get to lvl 20 for that massive Fireball thingy :D

So who else plays a mage, any tips maybe
 
1. Macro your spells to buttons on your keyboard
2. Roll face over keyboard
3. Rinse repeat :p

yeah mages become monotonous, 2 button spam for dmg

But they so much fun :p

I killed mobs 3 lvl's higher than me. DMG, DMG, Frost nova, step back DMG, DMG, Dead ;)
Tried to duel a few guys but got my arse handed to me on a platter, so I won't try that again :D

Lol, I do that with my druid when soloing. Thanks to Disc. Channel, I got a quick 50% xp through my lvl whilst learning how to build a car .....

Fire is great but your gonna die alot Frost dps can be just as good frost is imba against alot of mobs with shatter and improved blizzard frost and survival is alot better.With my frost mage i can do a 3de of a instances dmg in one good battle with alot of mobs that would have been a group wipe.Frost shines vs alot of mobs.Fires good for 1v1 burst dmg
 
Frost Mage is the only way to go. Only learn frost talents, fire has absolutely no place after level 30.

Its just a great feeling when you frost nova 12 mobs and you have full shatter and you do cone of cold 12 crits lol with 100% increased crit and then improved blizzards slows them to a crawl.then iceblock if they all come for you lol..Froste mage is fun but hard to play you die alot in stv lol.
 
Looks like I'll be the only Fire spec mage on WoW then.

I like the insane crits :D. Playing melee classes for ages, no need for me to kill more than 2 mobs at once... It's all in the pull :cool:
 
Petruz also died a lot by the hands of a great warrior....infact he went splat!

I know a few priests that hate fire mages lol cause of aggro lol.And alot of these guys dont heal you if your not the tank.If you wanna kill people with 3 shots go fire arcane

Aggro is no problem, it's called OMEN/KTM
Any guy that out aggro's the tank, deserves to die ;)
 
Theres nothing wrong with Omen... KTM is the slacker mod that doesnt keep up (its always bugged imo)

Thats the only downside to fire, aggro... ull get too much, and cause hassles for the rest of the grp on every mob, think its 68 that u get Invis. Frost is soo much better, does less dmg, but adds soo much survivability

my 66 mage does round 2k frost crits (deep frost/arc build), and 2,2k fire crits if i spec deep fire/arc, i rly couldnt care bout 200 more dmg per mob (+ the ignite dmg) and lose IB (which will b trainable in 2.3.2 i think... GG blizz >.>) ,Ice Barrier and my elemental

There is a Video on Youtube of a fire Mage doing a 6.3k crit fire ball in Bg's :eek: Think I could search a little more and see even bigger ones
 
Ive seen 8,6k pyro crits

imba in pvp, utterly useless in raiding, unless u wanna die
 
This reminds me of a vid I saw pre-BC.

34 Frost Mages, a Pally, a Warrior, 4 Priests vs Ragnaros.
They downed him in 2min. No Sons for You!
 
I have spell reflected 4K crits in BG's then you want to see the look on the Mages face as that goes back at him :D
 
Pitbull, I have a lvl 60 Mage that is fire speced! You'll learn how to use him nicely so that you don't get the aggro and if a tank cannot keep aggro, then he/she shouldn't be tanking...

My mage has insane crit rates! Just make sure you get gear that gives you intellect and spell damage :D You can't go wrong there!

Killing Warriors is so much fun! All that armour doesn't help against spell damage :D lol

2 shoting a dump fire mage is more fun frost mages eat waroir for breakfast
firemages die.

And aggro is hard to get of a fire mage if he crits the mob and you abilities are on cd.Fire is a popular spec i see alot of mages specing it on my server and got 3 in guild.

Well mage is a challenge to survive no matter the spec but ill miss iceblock and improved frost nova way too (shatter) much.

I saw in WSG wat 3 frost mage can hold the flag room from a full team frost nova 8 players they did this 3 times with cone of cold and improved blizzard we were all dead after that there just no killing 3 frosties thats in a small room and knows how to play.
