I have the wired mighty mouse and personally I've never really liked it as a 2 button mouse, it works great as a command+click mouse though. Now i'm thinking of getting a bluetooth mouse that is OSX compatible and I've noticed that the magic mouse is around the same price as those I'm interested in.

So my question is, should I get one? is it a good mouse? what are your opinions on it if you own one?

I hated it, took it back for a refund.
Ergonomics really didn't suit me. No hand support at all.
The other big problem is that it didn't work with the mac pro 2009. If you know someone who owns one try it out first. Otherwise go with ms/logitech wireless solution.

Ok still thinking about it though, if you're a palmer it will be difficult or do you claw your mouse?

If you handle the mouse with the thumb and ring finger it would be comfortable I was told.

Edit:
After reading some reviews and opinions looks like I'll either love it or hate it..

I rest my hand on the mouse, impossible to do with the magic mouse. See if you can try one out at an istore.

I like my magic mouse, works fine on my Mac Pro 2007 and MacBook Pro 2009.

The magic mouse doesn't work with the mac pro 2009, long thread about it on discussions.apple.com. Anyway not trying to put you off, just try and test it out before deciding.

Works with my late 2009 MBP 17, but only after the BT firmware update.

I'd rather look at a Logitech or Razer.

My girlfriend brought me one back from Dubai in December, before they were available here - the new bluetooth mighty mouse. It works well for me, I REALLY like the touch sensitive top of the mouse, that allows you to use finger gestures like on the iPhone - stroke it with 2 fingers to scroll down etc. The only thing I don't like too much about it, is it seems that the mouse movement is not sensitive enough for my liking - but that could be solved by a software update - I have my mouse setup in system preferences, to put it on its fastest setting ie the slightest movement would make it move the most, however it still does not move enough for my liking. But that is not a major for me, you get used to it, and it could be solved by a software update - if they decide to update it.

Magic mouse is great if you get one of those wrist support mouse pads. then you just use your two fingers to move the mouse and index finger to scroll. It took a while to get used to it but I love it now.

Thanks for opinions, I would like to test it before buying yea, but a proper test would mean installing magicprefs, not possible at a mac store though.

I found the same, and consider it piss poor that Apple can market MM knowing that third party software is needed to make it function properly - I use Better Touch Tool http://en.softonic.com/s/better-touch-tool:mac

For the same price, rather get a higher dpi gaming mouse or something.

I'm using my razer lachesis now(prefer a logitech MX for gaming), so will hold off the MM I think. I opened my mighty mouse since the ball has become useless, and I need to superglue the cover now. The razer works well even though it's not officially supported.

Had mine for about 2 months now absolutely love it

When i use a normal mouse i always try use the touch gestures lol

Hated it for the first 2 days but then got used to it

200% better than the old wheel magic mouse

the sensitivity seems ok on a 15inch mbp but on a 27 inch imac its way under sensitive

I've had one for about a month and I really like it. The touch/gestures are really useful.

There's a download from Apple once you pair the MM that changes the preference pane, you can then change the sensitivity. Once I did that it moves enough for me.

I had heard reports of poor battery life but mine seems to be holding out okay.

But I would definitely suggest you get hold of one to try before you buy, if you can. It's quite different in some ways.
