I have to ask, why you guys would choose the Magic Mouse over the trackpad?

For me the normal things I do on a track pad can be done with the mouse. Easier and faster, too. I love the MM.![]()
But then why not stick with the trackpad? It has a bigger footprint, does the gestures better (from the limited time that I have used the magic mouse) and is more intuitive than a mouse. Costs less, too.
Bleh, perhaps that's just me. I really did not like the MM when I had the chance to use it, but absolutely adore the Apple trackpad. The only reason that I do not have one is the driver support in Linux.
I usually have the opposite problem, that rechargeable are always a bit fatter than standard alkalines.Often it's not interference but battery contact that is the problem, especially when using rechargeable batteries.
Fold a piece of paper between the two batteries and over the tops of them so they sit nice and snug when you put the bottom plate back on.
If I were going to use a mouse I wouldn't use Apple's. It is horrible.I have to ask, why you guys would choose the Magic Mouse over the trackpad?

Apple should list that as one of the features of the Magic Mouse.Photoshop Carpal Tunnel
Hope this is the right thread to ask this question in, but we have two active MM in our office, pairing with two macs, one iMac (mine which came with an MM) and one Macbook Pro(my manager), which pairs with it, but sometimes with difficulty. We do get tech support in once a month from the guys at Digicape, but time and time again my managers mouse will try to pair with whichever Mac is on, except his laptop which is also on.
Aside from the possibility that his mouse is just Bluetooth nympho, what could be causing this? This morning, for instance, I had to reject the pairing from my side, twice before his machine would latch on to it, when I arrived he was already paired with me (meaning the mouse was... with my mac) and I had to errr, disconnect. Could the problem be with his Macbook pro instead of the mouse?
Pardon, please, all my little improper innuendos. Cape Town is burning and it's a Monday, I just need a little bit of fun to start up my morning.

Hi
Make sure that the mouse if off when the Mac is not in use.
What you can also do is select the mouse on the bluetooth panel in the taskbar above.
When the mouse is not connected and you click the button is starts "connecting" automatically to whatever computer is nearest.
My original Apple mouse stopped working, so I got a R90 regular bluetooth mouse which is fine
U ever used one?
I got two.. and they have the worst bottom surface, definetly do not glide smoothly over a desk
