Magnum without a moustache is not magnum. The whole 80's vibe is what made it work. Use a similar concept in a modern setting but trying to rehash it seems bad.

I think it was an 70's/80's thing. It had to be a bit cheesy and without vampires. I remember waiting for The A-Team movie only to go WTF!!! It didn't even come close to what the series was about.

The only interesting part of this reboot will be to see what Ferrari he drives. The iconic 308GTS that the Mustachioed Marvel drove will be tough to replace. Maybe a 488 Spider?

Oh! Hmm, I don't know whether that's a good thing or a bad thing. I would've thought if you going to reboot it, go the whole nine yards and update every aspect (from the clothes to the tech - car included). Anyhoo, I don't like reboots as it is so I won't be watching...

You can't drive a 308GTS without classic Ray Bans, open shirt and a 'tache. Unless you have long legs and a female. Then the 'tache is definatly out, but the open shirt can stay.
I also don't get this.
There's so many amazing novels out there that could be turned into a series, or writers who could write a new series, but instead they take something old and try to update it?

Lack of imagination. No one want to take a risk on something new so they try rehash something that was a success 30+ years ago. Think of it like buying 2 nicely aged rump steaks. You cook one tonight and it tastes out of this world. The other one you freeze and defrost it 3 months later. It tastes like old cardboard soaked in terps.
In the "old days" there were very few channels (not talking about SA), so you had very few options to go to if you didn't like the show. Now days you watch the first 5 minutes. If it is rubbish you just go on to one of the other 20000 shows available .

Looking at the trailer it looks like they will have a new Ferrari every episode as he writes off about three including the iconic one in the first minute of the trailer.
