I had a Saix isp account that used smtp.saix.net
but now i changed over to IS

Problem is i can't only have 1 working because at work we have SAIX
and @ home IS

Is there any other way to solve this issue without having to change my outlook mail settings each time?

are there any smtp settings that will work for both?

ISP @ home Plugg
ISP @ work Telkom

Please help

Thanks

You could try using gmail's smtp servers (you need a gmail account though).

nope you cant send mail with a telkom smtp on a IS network etc, you can however use a relay server , which will work on any network i think .

though relay server cost money i think, not sure :P

Yep, that's the solution... Create a free Gmail account and route all your mail through that.

Benefits....

SSL encryption
Excellent Spam filters
Automatic online backup of your mail
Free
Very reliable.

I have to do it for 6 email accounts on 3 laptops
Is there any guide for it?

Make a google account per user.
Follow the instructions above, if you get stuck post details.

1) Go to Gmail and create a new account for each user
2) Go into the mail Settings by clicking on the gear cog icon at the top right of the gmail window.
3) First go to the Accounts and Import Tab and set your company e-mail as the default e-mail so that others will not see the gmail address. You will have to verify that you own the e-mail addresses for each one. This is so that when you send an e-mail using Gmail's SMTP servers, the receivers will only see your company address.
4) Then go to the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
5) Set up the forwarding to the normal company e-mail accounts, you will have to verify that you own each address before it will forward there.
6) Tell it what to do after it has done the forwarding, in most cases you are just going to archive the copy.
7) Then set up the POP Checking - enable POP for all mail that arrives from now.
8) Then click on the Configuration Instructions link and it will tell you how to set up Gmail's SMTP servers and Ports.

The other option is that you create 2 accounts for the same mail but with different smtp server's then you go to your send and recieve options and define group's untick the recieve mail option for one of the accounts and you are done now when you send mail just click on from in the new mail and select the correct account ! i.e SAIX or IS

also check out this freeware solution....

Free SMTP Server
Version: 2.5

Major Features:
Free SMTP server
Free SMTP Server supports all email programs
The program is freeware
Free SMTP Server is useful for laptop PC users

Free SMTP Server is a SMTP server program for Windows that lets you send email messages directly from your computer. It's very simple but very useful for laptop users traveling around the world and connecting their PCs to different Internet Service Providers in different countries. You can use it instead of ISP's SMTP server to increase your security and privacy. Free SMTP Server supports all email programs like Outlook Express and Eudora, but best optimized to work with Outlook Express. The email program you already use for sending and receiving messages can be connected to the server in a very easy way - by using the word "localhost" instead of your current SMTP host. Having done so, you can send messages in a usual manner. Free SMTP Server is very fast, while sending, it establishes dozens of SMTP connections, and gets the most out of your Internet connection. The user interface of the program is very easy to learn, excellent documentation is included. The program is freeware so there is no reason not to download and try it!

Who provides the email accounts you are currently using?

They will most likely have an smtp server you can access from any ISP as long as you enable authentication on your outbound connections in Outlook.

Try the following SMTP server, it should work for both SAIX and IS accounts:

smtp.uls.co.za

Tried that but still didn't work
