mailbox.co.za?

Omw.... just for sh*ts and giggles I reregistered my old mighty.co.za address (it was removed some time ago). Firstly they ask you everything about your income, insurance, medical aid, race, etc etc etc.

Otherwise registration went through quickly. It's a bit hard to tell what's going on with all the ads though (no ad blocker on work pc).

Then I came across "Webmail ISP" and got more giggles than I bargained for...

They offer dialup for only R79 a month.
This includes "•Access to Newsgroups on over 63 000 subjects"

For an additional fee, a range of optional services:

• ISDN 64 and 128 K for faster connectivity
o_O

They also offer ADSL, at R280/month for 3GB.

Their ISP software is downloadable and conveniently they provide the 2mb file split into a 1.4mb part and another part, because the 2mb one won't fit on a stiffy of course.

For optimum performance a Pentium 200 with 32Mb Ram or better is suggested. A fairly fast Modem of at least 33 Kbps, plus Internet Explorer version 6 or 7. A telephone line is required to dial up. Non Windows users (Apple Mac, Nokia Communicators etc) should contact the call centre for assistance.

Why...why are you so angry

where do you see anger in what I said? Seriously though, some of the crap that comes from this forum does make me ponder the level of.... ugh, let's just forget it.

P.S. I don't have a webmail.co.za account but I did look at integrating with them many years ago. They used to be owned by telkom back then, and ran on Zimbra. Things could have changed though, I didn't bother looking at it again since I found out Telkom owned the system back then.
P.S.S I do have a gmail account though, and a yahoo account, and a few others. I also have some business emails and business domains.
P.S.S.S You should ask why so many companies, big and small, successful or not, use free email accounts (vodamail, gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc) and even have free domains like blahblah.wix.com, or something like that. probably due to their ignorance in this field.
