OK, any ideas what is going on here:

Basic XP box running Mdaemon as the mailserver.
But is unaccessabile from an external IP.

Netgear Router forwarding 110 and 25 to xp boxr.
Dynamic DNS running on Router.
No Firewall on xp box
No Antivirus (althaugh NAV and Pccillin at some stage in past).

Telnet on local doamin to domain.dynalias.com 25 perfect, welcome to Mdaemon mailserver with smtp ver x bla bla

Telnet domain.dynalias.com 25 from external ip, ...Nothing, times out, connection failed

OK my bad routing.
stop mailserver, chang RDP port in reg 25
Telnet domain.dynalias.com 25 from external ip again - answer.
Use RDP session just to be sure - works like a bomb.

Must be a configuration in me mailserver software.
Stop RDP
Stop Mdaemom mailserver
Start MicroSoft SMTP service.

Telnet on local doamin to domain.dynalias.com 25 - perfect, welcome to Microsoft with smtp ver x bla bla

Telnet domain.dynalias.com 25 from external ip, ...Nothing, Nada, F'all, times out, connection failed!!!

Reset TCPIP stack, Checked LSP's, nothing out of the ordinary
Any idea what the frikking hell is going on here?
Something knows when I'm useing selected ports for mail and when not, and can differentiate between local and public addresses! How is this possible?

Netgear log below:
Thu, 2008-05-08 10:55:31 - TCP Packet - Source:192.168.0.100,1244 Destination:165.145.252.124,25 - [SMTP rule match]
Thu, 2008-05-08 10:55:47 - TCP Packet - Source:196.207.41.247,7356 Destination:165.145.252.124,25 - [SMTP rule match]

1st one works, 2nd one not!
